Is YesPlay Legit? The Licence Check
This is the question most people search before signing up, and it has a concrete answer. YesPlay holds a bookmaker licence from the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board. Provincial licensing is what makes a bookmaker legal here. South Africa has no national online-casino licence, so any site claiming one is offshore and unregulated.
YesPlay licensing
- Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board
- Licence 10180204-013, issued 2025-11-26
Licence numbers are re-issued on renewal, so the trailing digits can change. Verify the current number with the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board or in the operator's own footer rather than trusting any affiliate site, including this one.
Should You Join YesPlay?
YesPlay is the Lucky Numbers specialist. If your betting leans toward draws like UK 49s, Gosloto and SA Lotto, plus live Betgames, the interface handles that faster and cleaner than either of the bigger rivals. Sports coverage exists, but it's thinner, and instead of one headline bonus you get rotating promos that change monthly. Most people get the most out of it as a second account alongside Hollywoodbets or Betway.
How to Register on YesPlay
- Go to YesPlay and tap Register.
- Enter your cellphone number and create a password.
- Add your name and SA ID number for FICA.
- Verify the SMS OTP and upload your ID. Verification is typically done the same day.
What YesPlay Does Best
- Lucky Numbers: dozens of daily draws with clear odds tables and full results archives. It's the core product here, and no other bookmaker on this site handles it as well. See our Lucky Numbers guide.
- Live Betgames: Lucky 5/6/7, Dice and Wheel, streamed around the clock with fast bet slips.
- Light site: loads fast on entry-level Android phones and congested networks, with low data use even though there's no formal data-free product.
- Deposits: 1Voucher, OTT, Blu voucher, card and instant EFT. Same cash-friendly stack as Hollywoodbets.
Where It Falls Short
- Sports markets are noticeably shallower than the bigger operators'. Fine for a straight PSL match winner, not much use to a stats or bet-builder bettor.
- No single headline welcome bonus. Promos change monthly.
- No physical branches and no full data-free version.
